I am told that my birth was both normal and natural, though somewhat cloaked by the peak of the baby-boom, and I was blessed at conception with certain advantages afforded children of consenting, married, educated, white, middle-class, heterosexual parents. The sociologic pathology (sounds good?) was dubbed 'WASP' (white Anglo-Saxon Protestant) by the times, so it fits ironically that this new generation of Americans, pre-destined to a standardized pursuit of the American Dream, would stray to "Bug" music; the Pied-Piper of Socialism promoting sex, drugs and rock-and-roll. I imagine Hitler's ghost petrified from the permeating scent of sex doused with hemp and enhanced by the sight of shag-carpeted Volkswagen vans sporting psychedelic paintings of peace signs and flower pedals while rocking sideways to the rhythm of free-love across every highway to Woodstock!
